6 Foundations of Health
Most health advice treats symptoms as separate problems — one plan for fatigue, another for inflammation, another for mood. But at a cellular level, they're often the same problem wearing different faces.
Your cells — and specifically your mitochondria — are responsible for producing the energy that drives every process in your body, from digestion, hormone production, immune function to how your brain regulates mood and focus. When cellular energy production is compromised, the body responds the only way it can: with fatigue, inflammation, brain fog, and a growing list of symptoms that often get treated individually, without ever addressing what's actually driving them.
The six foundations below aren't a checklist to complete once. They're the ongoing conditions your body needs in order to function the way it was designed to — the foundation beneath every personalised nutrition and lifestyle plan.

Cellular Energy
At the centre of this approach is one core idea: your body's capacity to heal, adapt and function depends on how efficiently your cells can produce energy. Every symptom — fatigue, brain fog, poor recovery, a body that no longer responds the way it used to — can be traced back, at least in part, to how well this fundamental process is working.
Rather than treating each symptom in isolation, this foundation asks a different question: what does this body need in order to produce energy efficiently again? Without energy your cells, organs and body systems don’t work effectively. Everything else that follows builds on this same principle.
“Inflammation is a signal, not a diagnosis. In the short term, it’s a normal and necessary part of how the body heals. But when inflammatory signalling becomes chronic — it becomes one of the biggest drains on cellular energy in the body.
Rather than broadly recommending an anti-inflammatory supplement; I focus on identifying your individual inflammatory triggers to turn off the signal, not just dull it. The foods, patterns, and exposures driving inflammation are different for every person which is why a tailored approach is important.”
Nourish
We live in a world where food is abundant, yet nutrient insufficiency remains common — even in people who eat what looks like a "healthy" diet. Your cells require specific vitamins, minerals and cofactors for structural integrity and to produce energy efficiently; when those nutrients are missing, cellular energy production suffers regardless of how much food you're eating.
This is where functional testing — including Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis and Organic Acid Testing — plays a role, helping to identify exactly which nutrients your body is missing so that nourishment can be targeted, rather than generic.
