Women’s Health & Lipoedema Nutrition

Health isn’t about fighting against your body.

It’s about understanding what it needs in order to function best. My philosophy for health is to operate with flow not force.

Women's health is influenced by far more than hormones alone. Factors such as nutrition, inflammation, gut health, stress, sleep, environmental exposures and cellular energy all interact to influence how the body functions.

Whether you're living with lipoedema, struggling with fatigue or brain fog, experiencing digestive issues, navigating hormonal changes or simply feeling that your body isn't functioning as well as it should, I take a highly individualised approach to understanding the underlying factors contributing to your symptoms.

Rather than treating conditions in isolation, the focus is to identify the unique combination of dietary, biochemical, lifestyle and environmental factors that may be driving inflammation and affecting how your body functions. When you give your body the environment it needs to thrive, you can regain mental clarity, energy and calm to live an enthusiastic, joyful life.

I can help if you experience:

  • Stress and overwhelm

  • Fatigue and lethargy

  • Recurrent illness - UTIs, colds & flu’s

  • Digestive discomfort

  • Poor concentration and focus

  • Dizziness / light headed

  • Brain fog or memory challenges

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Autoimmune conditions

  • Lipoedema

  • Insomnia or sleep difficulties

  • Menstrual struggles

  • Perimenopause

  • Exercise intolerance

  • Temperature dysregulation

I believe in a holistic approach to identify the root causes and contributing factors of these issues.

Lipoedema Nutrition & Lifestyle Support

As someone living with lipoedema, I understand the physical and emotional challenges of navigating a body that doesn’t respond the same. The typical protocols often don’t work for our bodies, leaving us feeling like a failure.

Inflammation plays a significant role in many of the symptoms we experience. When we identify and addressing the individual triggers, it can help with:

  • Reduced swelling and fluid retention

  • Improved lymphatic flow

  • Reduced pain and tenderness

  • Healthy weight management

  • Improved energy levels

  • Better mobility

  • Improved mental clarity

  • Enhanced quality of life

My approach considers you as a whole person — not just your lipoedema diagnosis. There's no standard lipoedema diet that works for everyone. Instead, I look at the individual factors that influence inflammation and symptom progression — food, sleep, stress, movement, gut health, environmental toxins, immune function, food intolerances, mineral balance and cellular energy — and how they interact for you specifically

Every treatment plan is tailored to your individual needs and may include personalised dietary strategies, lifestyle recommendations, supplement support and, where appropriate, functional pathology testing to gain further insight.

The goal is to help you better understand your body, support the systems that influence healing and resilience, and give you the knowledge and confidence to work with your body rather than against it.

“Flow, not force. My role is to help you understand your body, remove the barriers standing in its way, and provide the foundations it needs to function, adapt and thrive.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Can nutrition actually help with lipoedema? While nutrition isn't a cure, food is a major driver of the inflammation that drives progression. Bringing the foods in that nourish your body and eliminating the ones that don’t is the first step in supporting your lipoedema.

Is there a specific "lipoedema diet" I should follow? No single diet works for every woman with lipoedema. Rather than a prescriptive plan, I look at your individual triggers — food intolerances, gut health, environmental exposures and more — to build an approach tailored to your body.

What testing do you use? Depending on your situation, I may use functional pathology testing such as Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA), Food Fit Compatibility, Organic Acid Testing and many more to gain deeper insight into what's driving your symptoms, alongside a comprehensive health history.

Will I need to take a lot of supplements? Most people need less, not more. My focus is on the core nutrients your body needs to restore itself — supplements act as cofactors to support that process, not a replacement for it.

I've already tried a naturopath / nutritionist without results — how is this different? Standard approaches for anti-inflammatory diets and weight loss just don’t work for us, if they aren’t educated on the nuances for lipoedema, you likely won’t find lasting results.

My approach for all clients regardless of age or condition is to support the cellular energy of the cell. I go deeper than hormones or the digestive system and work on the conditions required to support every system - a cell without energy doesn’t function well.
